Academy of Genuine Wudang Taoist KungFu - Our school

           As a Holy Land of Taoism and a cradle of Wudang martial art, Wudang Mountain has a history of more than 2000 years. At the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty, Wudang Taoist Zhang Sanfeng integrated the main achievements of Wudang Boxing and created the Wudang  inner Boxing, which made him the respectful founder of Wudang Martial Art. The martial art of Wudang has been once unknown to the outside for fairly a long time due to the tradition of Daoism of instructing privately and separately.
    In the main trend of globalization, each nation changed itself from autarky to interdependence. The material products have been circulated worldwide, while the spirit products will surely be the common possessions of mankind. So the Taoist culture is attracting the attention more and more by the whole world. And the Taoist Martial Art, which is the embodiment of Taoist philosophy, is accepted by more and more people.   
    Mr. Lu Xun has said: “ The bedrock of Chinese culture lies all in Taoism.” The exchange of traditional culture between two nations should firstly protect the cultural bedrock of its own nation. In order to keep and develop the non-material heritage better, the Wudang Taoist association set up “The Academy of Wudang Taoist WuShu Arts” in the spring of 1989, which is for the first time opening the Wudang Martial Art to the outside world and cultivating the first class person with Wudang Martial Art ability.
   In 1994, the former dean of National Martial Art Institute Zhang Yaoting visited Wudang Mountain. After watching the show of Wudang Martial Art, he drove the quill in spirits: “Training others with skill, presenting others with its real way.”
   In 1996, the former director of national physical commission Wu Shaozu visited Wudang moubntain. After watching the show he took photos with everyone and said: “ The Wudang Boxing combines the temper force with grace, the Taiqi Boxing appears naturally and smoothly just as the running cloud and flowing water.”
   In 1999 the former president and the secretary-general of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China visited Wudang mountain and gave a high praise of Wudang Boxing: “Wudang Taiqi is so good that everyone should learn it.” 
   In 2001, the Taoist Martial Art Institute of Wudang has enlarge its area, increased the drill masters and set up a website specializing Wudang Martial Art and took over overseas students to learn Wudang Martial Art.
In the past few years, we have received infante of Indonesia, leaders and friends of Germany, Australia and Spain etc. And we are also invited to conduct cultural exchange and give martial art show in the US, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, which is warmly welcomed by the leaders and martial art enthusiasts and reported by many global news media. 
   The Academy of Wudang Taoist WuShu Arts owns a group of masters who have won many times in martial art competitions both here and abroad with one of the authentic inheritors of SanFeng school of Wudang Mountain as its chef master. Based on its deep-rooted inside culture of traditional Taoist Martial Art, we have cultivated hundreds of people with martial art ability, which enjoys a high reputation in the martial art circle both at home and abroad.
The major teaching content of The Academy of Wudang Taoist WuShu Arts is divided into three kinds: Boxing: Xingyi, Eight Diagrams,LiangYi, Tiger Taming, Ba Ji, Long Hua, Xuan Gong, highest harmony boxing etc；With weapon: sword, spear, blade, stick, convenience shovel, horsetail whisk.etc; Taiqi health preservation: SanFeng Taiqi, Five Elements cultivation Qigong, Taiqi of thirteen forms, brocade of eight sects, Taiqi Hun Yuan, Sanfeng Taiqi sword, Wudang inner Qigong. According to the Taoist tradition it will be taught personally by the masters.
    The Academy of Wudang Taoist WuShu Arts lies in the middle of Wudang mountain with an altitude of more than 800 meters. It lies in the near of “royalty temple” Zixiao Palace in the eastern, Wudang road in the western, flag spreading peak in the back and face the peculiar candle peak. It enjoys fresh air and convenient traffic, surrounded by many other mountains, which will give you a peaceful and still impression. So it is truly a ideal place for enjoying the splendid of the world cultural heritage as well as learning the Taoist culture and training the authentic Wudang martial art.
