The storied buildings, usually the places for Taoists to live in, have an important status in Taoist palaces and temples in Wudang Mountain. For instance, there once built Swan Building, Cloud Building, Sky Lake Building in Palace of Harmony.
Five-cloud Building on Crown Prince? Slope is the highest wooden building preserved in Wudang Mountain, with five stories. Ancient people conformed to the cliff and built the building, without a digging here, achieving the double effects both in whole arrangement and practicability.
When you enter into the building, you will find there are full of changes: all the halls and rooms, devised according to the mountain shape, are vagarious in structure and changeful. There is one big pillar on which laying twelve beams standing up to the top floor, which is a miracle in Wudang Mountain. Architectures home and abroad and visitors all speak highly of consummate craftsmanship involved in the building.
